Do you need more new customers coming in the door?  Or do you need more of the customers you already have to do more business? 

Every business can improve by one of two ways: either by gaining more customers, or by keeping the customers they already have.  Which one applies to your business?  Before you can solve a problem, you have to identify the problem.  So here are Coach Mike's three steps to improving your business.

Step 1.  Evaluate Your Business Situation

Step 1 is to take a look at your business, see where you are at now, discuss the goals you have for your business, the find the best way to help you reach those goals.  Do you need more customers?  What are you doing to promote your business?  Do you need to do more advertising?  Are you involved in the community?  What happens when customers come into your business?  How many look and leave?  How many do business with you?  How many repeat customers do you have?  Or do you even know?

Step 2.  Get More Customers - Increase Sales

Your doors are open, the lights are on, but there aren't enough customers walking in the door.  There are many ways to promote your business:  Social Posts, Email and Text Marketing, Podcasts, Community Involvement, and of course, Paid Advertising.  The secret is determining which works best for you.  Let's see what you are doing, and what you can do.  If you feel you have enough traffic already, perhaps you need to do a better job of increasing return customer business.  Move on to Step 3.

 

Step 3. - Keeping the Customers You Already Have - Increasing Customer Engagement and Loyalty
